What age is the typical Linly Heflin Scholar?
As education opportunities change and expand, Linly Heflin recipients are changing also. We receive the most applications from traditional high school seniors, but in addition, we consider older applicants. Some are returning to the educational world after their children are in school, some are single parents eager for an education to increase their earning power, and still others are going back to school after working to save for their education. In addition to financial need, the selection process for our scholarships is based on the quality of the individual and her proven record of achievement.
